This new record, as well as the title, symbolizes the band's "merry go round" ride throughout the music industry. Today, Delinquent Habits is set to release it's third and most powerful record titled "Merry Go Round" on their own independent label, Station Thirteen Records. This allowed Delinquent Habits to solidify their worldwide fan base and build much anticipation for their next record. Most of 1998-1999 was spent touring around the U.S. The group's primary home based label, PMP Records went defunct and left Delinquent Habits literally in limbo.With virtually no promotion or label support "Here Come The Horns"still went on to sell well in some regions of the U.S. Though critically acclaimed by their fans and receiving many great reviews in the press the album was caught up in record label transitions and mergers and suffered considerably. And eventually entering Japan touring with the Psycho Realm, Funkdoobiest and Tony Touch in pure B-Boy fashion.ĭelinquent Habits went on to release a second album in 1998 titled "Here Come The Horns". Other stops included Brazil, Argentina and Mexico with performances with Control Machete and Molotov. European tours followed with stops in Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic and Spain which included festivals with Rahzel, Beck and Henry Rollins. This also brought Delinquent Habits the opportunity to tour in the U.S.with major groups such as Korn and Ice-T. Other performances included 35,000 people stadiums with The Fugees to Board Aid benefits with Run DMC in the Swiss Alps. From performing on NBC's Late Nite with Conan O'brien to hosting Yo MTV Raps to appearing on the Spanish television show La Hora Lunatica with Alberto Luna. This success saw the group making several appearances all around the world. This "new" and "catchy" sound, which effortlessly fused traditional Latin rhythms with hard-hitting Hip-Hop tracks, was also influencing many up-and-coming bands from around the world. This established Delinquent Habits as a premiere Latin Hip-Hop group in the music industry. The single was "Tres Delinquentes" and the results were 450,000 singles and 350,000 self-titled debut albums sold domestically and over 1 million units moved worldwide. ![]() It was not until 1996 that Paul Stewart, then owner of PMP Records, signed Delinquent Habits as the first group to his new label.ĭelinquent Habits released it's first single which went on to chart highly (including Top Ten) on many Hip-Hop, R&B and Pop charts. Prior to their first release Delinquent Habits had gone through record deals with two major record labels, one with Ruffhouse/Columbia the other with Geffen, with neither one releasing any albums or singles.
